Treasure Chest of Thoughts

Research is the name of one of the games being played in English 1o.  Who are the players?  What are the rules?  What does the winner receive?  Let’s preview the game!

Players:  One student, peer reviewers, an audience 

Rule 1:  Choose a topic….then immediately narrow that topic!

Rule 2:  Create the prelimanary thesis/outline.

Rule 3:  Read your sources and highlight/bracket the information that supports your outline.

Rule 4:  Finalize thesis and outline.

Rule 5:  Draft paper using APA format.

Rule 6:  Revise…and revise….and revise (To be redundant!).

Rule 7:  Edit…make those changes!

Rule 8:  Publish.

The winner (the writer) receives the earned grade of choice!
