My Treasure Chest of Thoughts

National Poetry Month comes along, and I have such high hopes of doing so much.  The month flies by, leaving me wishing I had emphasized this genre more.

We did read poetry in class:  ”The Charge of the Light Brigade,” “The Destroyer,” and others.

We (my Beta Club) did host a Poetry Slam.  Those are always such awesome events, to sit and listen to students read/recite poetry, all just a bit hesitant to share, for poetry does seems to be a bit more personal type of text, since it seems to reflect the heart and soul in some way.

I joined a poetry challenge and wrote a few poems, all of which I am proud, for they, too, reflect my heart and soul.

Still wishing I had done more…that will be a goal for 2012-13, which, by the way….is already on my mind!
